Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar
(225 kms; 5 hours)

Begin your trip from Delhi early in the morning. Enjoy a drive to Haridwar covering approximately 225 kilometers which takes around 5 hours. On reaching Haridwar, complete the check in formalities. Spend the evening at leisure. One can visit Har ki Pauri for the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony. Stay overnight in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot transfer (205 kms; 8 hours)

Today, after breakfast leave for a transfer from Haridwar to Barkot. Enjoy the scenic drive through the hills and reach Barkot. A quaint hill station of Barkot is perched at an elevation of 1220 m above sea level. It lies in Uttarkashi, the Ganga, and the Yamuna water the lush landscape of Barkot, which is made more charming by its remoteness. It invites adventure and nature lovers to its challenging trekking trails and scenic panoramas. Stay overnight in Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (90 Kms Trek; 4 to 5 hours)

After morning breakfast, get ready for an excursion to Yamunotri. A part of Char Dhams in Uttarakhand, Yamunotri is a small mountain hamlet, with the Yamunotri at its centre. It draws thousands of devotees every year and is the commencing point of the Char Dham Yatra. Worship the famous Yamunotri Temple dedicated to Yamuna, the second most sacred river after the Ganges. Afterward, return to the hotel in Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Uttarkashi Transfer (85 Kms Trek; 3 hours)

Post breakfast, get ready to leave for Uttarkashi. An ancient land of Uttarkashi is an ancient land with a rich cultural heritage and a picture-postcard-like appeal with sweeping mountain views. It is widely known for an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is visited by thousands throughout the year. Uttarkashi is dotted with many temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Parshuram, Dattatrya, Bhairav, Annapurna, etc. Stay overnight in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Gangotri Excursion (194 kms Trek; 8 to 9 hours)

Early morning proceed for a drive to Gangotri, a small town with the temple of Goddess Ganga. The town is nestled among lofty Garhwal Himalayan Peaks, glaciers and dense forests and is one of the highest pilgrimages in India. Gangotri offers stunning views all around. The most sacred of all rivers is the Ganges which descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks. Stay overnight in Gangotri.

Day 6: Sitapur Transfer (203 kms trek; 9 hours)

Today after breakfast, travel by car from Uttarkashi to Sitapur, a town on the way to Kedarnath. Sitapur is famous in India due to its mythological & historical background. There’s no official description for its name but as the tradition says Sitapur is widely referred to as Lord Ram’s wife Sita. On reaching Sitapur, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Kedarnath Transfer via Sonprayag (20 kms trek; 4 hours)

After a morning breakfast, get ready to trek for Kedarnath for 20 kms which may take around 4 hours. One of the most revered Hindu temples in India, Kedarnath is nestled in the mighty Garhwal Himalayas. The town was built around the revered Kedarnath Temple is located at an altitude of 3580 m, near Chorabari glacier, which is the source of the Mandakini River. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, showcasing exquisite architecture and is built of extremely large but evenly shaped grey stone slabs. Stay overnight in Kedarnath.

Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi via Sonprayag (20 kms trek; 30 km drive)

The next day after a delicious breakfast, get ready to worship the famous Kedarnath Temple. Post that leave for Guptkashi via Sonprayag, covering a distance of around 30 kilometers. Nestled in the lush green Mandakini river valley it has an abundance of Magnolia flowers. In the early summer months, when the flowers bloom, the air is filled with their sweet fragrance. Set against the backdrop of high snow-capped peaks like Chaukhamba. On reaching Guptkashi, check into the hotel for an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath via Joshimath (200 kms trek; 7 to 8 hours)

On the 9th day of this tour, get ready to leave for Badrinath via Joshimath. The Badrinath Temple also known as the Badrinarayan Temple is one of the Char Dhams in the state of Uttarakhand. The pilgrimage centres draw a large number of pilgrims every year, therefore becoming the most important hubs of religious travel in North India. Stay overnight in the hotel in Badrinath.

Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (92 kms trek; 6 hours)

The next day wake up with a delicious breakfast and head straight to Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers converge. Named after Lord Shiva’s Rudra avatar, Rudraprayag is an ancient holy town that marks the fourth confluence between the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Explore the temples and other sightseeing points. Stay overnight in Rudraprayag.

Day 11: Rudraprayg to Haridwar via Rishikesh (230 kms trek; 8 hours)

On the final day of this tour, embark on the Haridwar trip via Rishikesh. Enjoy the scenic views of the Garhwal Himalayas. Rishikesh is the Yoga Capital of the World, visit iconic spots like the Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula or partake in a peaceful Ganga Aarti ceremony. Continue towards Haridwar to attend Ganga Aarti in the evening at Har ki Pauri. Conclude the journey through the heart of Uttarakhand.
